The Robertson House at 303 Divine Road, is one of the finest early 20th century homes in San Antonio. The stately mansion stands surrounded by impeccable landscaping and a multitude of patios \u2013 some decorated with small statues. This five-bedroom, four-bath garden home was designed by NY architect William McNight Bowman. You can easily feel that the grand Villas of Veneto were his inspiration. His design was so amazing that it was featured in the 1920 issue of the Architectural Forum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the Italian villas, this historic home, features a second-floor grand room, where it overlooks the sweeping front lawn. This drawing room still has its original leaded glass windows. The other half of the second-floor houses four of the bedrooms, each exquisite in its own right The guest suite is on the main level. Another warm, welcoming living room with an expansive built-in hutch is one place to entertain friends. While the formal dining room with candelabra chandelier lets you hold a catered dinner or black-tie affair. From the circular drive entry and porte cochere to the mud-laundry room, every detail says 1920\u2019s grandeur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
