Arrive at the peninsula and prepare to be amazed by Calibogue Villa, a magnificent double waterfront estate. Local architect Pearce Scott partnered with the current owners to build the main house, guest house, and cottage in 2019. The Calibogue Sound, a part of the Intracoastal Waterway, stretches across the front of the property, while the frontage on Broad Creek includes a deepwater dock. Following a lane lined with live oak trees and through a set of pillars designating the private drive, the main house rests on the area\u2019s peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This estate is imbued with touches of luxury and stature. The foyer showcases reclaimed Heart Pine planks, which expand throughout the home and open to the dining room. Continuing on the first floor, the living area and kitchen comprise an ample open space with 11\u2019 ceilings. The spectacular chef\u2019s kitchen features an Officine Gullo with six burners, red enamel, brass stove, oven, and matching overhead custom-built exhaust fan. Melding function and fashion, the oak cabinets in the kitchen were crafted in Italy, installed by Italian craftsmen, and are adorned with Soapstone counters. A large island with a teak countertop, three large overhead lanterns, and bar stools serves as both a centerpiece and a gathering spot. The kitchen features a back kitchen with an additional Waterstone faucet sink, bringing the total number of sinks to three. This pantry also includes a Gaggenau oven with rotisserie, two Gaggenau dishwashers, and a built-in refrigerator. Passing through the main living room and an archway, the tremendous library stretches out before you. This spectacular room has 40\u2019 high ceilings, a wood fireplace, windows on three sides, three Moroccan lanterns, and a second-floor minstrel\u2019s gallery. The gallery is a balcony from the second-floor hallway, which overlooks the dramatic room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary suite is located on the home\u2019s second level, along the back of the house. French doors open onto a covered deck overlooking the custom-built, gunite infinity pool and water views. The suite includes spa-like amenities: a spacious walk-in closet with a center island, a 6\u2019 Clawfoot soaking tub, a walk-in shower, and two standalone oversized vanities. Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms make up the rest of the second floor. On the third floor perches a beautiful \u201cEagles Nest’ consisting of a (20’x20\u2019) space adorned with 22 windows allowing for jaw-dropping 360-degree views. The immense basement displays the quality materials used to construct the house: over 18,000 lbs of industrial grade steel and 4,000 psi concrete. The seemingly hidden 3,000 sq ft garage beneath the house showcases two Hurricane Glass doors on either side and two paved driveways feeding it from either side of the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outfitted with the utmost comfort in mind, the property boasts a beautiful waterfront guest house with two bedrooms as well as a charming cottage house which could serve as a work-at-home office with a panoramic waterfront view. Conveniently, both of these dwellings connect to the main house through their basements, which are unfinished but possess great potential particularly given that two of the basement rooms are 20\u2019x20\u2019 and heated, one is 8\u2019x20\u2019, the garage is 37\u2019x70\u2019 plus 10\u2019x40\u2019 and all but one have 9\u2019 ceilings. The guest house has a laundry and kitchenette on the ground floor, a complete bath upstairs with a clawfoot tub, and a walk-in glass shower at the water\u2019s edge alongside the pool. Additionally, the cottage comes complete with a large room showcasing vaulted ceilings and windows and a full bathroom and porch overlooking the pool. It would make a fabulous home office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
