Landlubbers may be surprised to know there exists a \u2018nautical alphabet\u2019, a series of 26 flags, each representing a letter in the English alphabet. Nautical flags can be rearranged in infinite word combinations like a secret, visual language, creating a nautical code that seafarers have historically used to communicate with each other.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”30″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1717594803952{margin-bottom: 30px !important;}”]Pamela Tomlin, the creative force behind and founder of Ipswich River Craft, grew up on the water and loves everything nautical. She draws inspiration from the idea that nautical art evokes a sense of adventure, nostalgia, and a connection to the sea, and creates one-of-a-kind and custom handcrafted wooden signs that pay tribute to maritime traditions by using the nautical alphabet.
