After earning a degree from the University of Virginia, Pam began her professional career as an intensive care nurse. Together with her husband Dr. Monte Harrington, they raised their children in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In 1978, "I established Pam Harrington Exclusives renting villas to vacationers on the fledgling resort island of Kiawah,” she says. "Within five years, I began selling real estate predominantly to clients on Kiawah Island. From there, we grew and expanded into a full service real estate business serving the Sea Islands and Charleston SC. My dedicated staff and I are here to provide the utmost in personalized service — whether it be selling or buying property — to every customer or client."

As a small, independent firm amid a sea of large, corporate realty companies and developers Pam Harrington found her niche on Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. Very quickly, Pam Harrington and her team built strong relationships with discerning island homeowners who sought personalized service to rent their properties during peak season. Those early relationships flourished. Trust and consistency served as the foundation upon which our small firm blossomed into a thriving luxury real estate sales company. With growth comes change.

In May 2021 Pam transferred the ownership of the vacation rental business to Sunset Management Company.

Pam Harrington Exclusives Rentals and Sales, as it was known for over 43 years, is now Pam Harrington Exclusives Real Estate Sales.

As the Charleston area real estate market grows and evolves, all energies are now 100% focused on marketing real estate sales.

We’ve had the pleasure of helping families get to know Seabrook and Kiawah Island through our seasonal rentals – and the honor of seeing them fall in love with the islands and Charleston. Now we focus on helping them become permanent members of our community.
