Luxury Palm Beach Home and Places

The Faxon Stanko Team

We caught up with the Faxon/Stanko team, listing agents of our Issue 1.4 Cover Home, and discovered beneath their charming smiles are two sophisticated business partners with hearts of gold.

Dory earned a law degree while working during the day, and went to school at night. Geraldine is the youngest of 7 siblings, and has had a strong corporate career in Fortune 100 and 500 companies.

These gracious ladies are detail oriented, down to earth, and friends. Their concierge level service has provided many out-of-area clients comfort that all details of a sale have been handled seamlessly.

A portion of all sales are donated either to the charity of their clients’ choice, or AWE, which provides college scholarships for women in Palm Beach County. They are actively involved in The Lord’s Place, a non-profit that is successfully breaking the cycle of homelessness in Palm Beach County.

Q: Where are you from?

Dory: I’m a native of Rhode Island and moved to Florida five years ago to get out of the cold. I live in Old Palm with my husband and children.

Geraldine: I’m originally from Miami, and lived in Chicago for 10 years, and moved back to Palm Beach Co. five years ago. I also live in Old Palm with my husband.

Q: What made you choose real estate?

Dory: I was always passionate about homes. I knew I would take great care of my friends moving down here, and only be motivated by their best interest.

Geraldine:  It was a natural transition out of the corporate world to combine my passion for real estate into a career.

Q: What do you love most about living here?

Dory: I love waking up every day and enjoying the endless sunshine and laid back atmosphere.

Geraldine: I love the people first, and the weather second. I love the small community vibe, even though our community has residents from all around the world.

Q: What makes you stand out in real estate?

D & G: We genuinely care about our clients, and are always looking out for their best interest. We’re extremely organized, which is necessary to stay on top of all the details in real estate. We find out what our clients really want by learning about their lifestyle and getting to know them.

Q: Which is your favorite spot in town?

D & G: We go to La Masseria, we love the great food, great service and friendly atmosphere.

Q: Who Inspires you in business?

D & G: Our broker, Brad Ball, is a great mentor. He is always there for us day or night, and has taught us so much.

Q: What is your favorite book?

Dory: Unbroken, the story about Louis Zamporini, is one of my favorites by far.  It’s a testament to the human spirit, and helps you to put life in perspective.

Geraldine: When You Just Can’t Say Goodbye. A friend of mine is the author. It portrays how in one second, life can change. I take nothing for granted, and value every moment.

Q: What is your favorite quote?

Dory: “A great deal is expected of those who have been given a lot.”

Geraldine: “Don’t sweat the small stuff!”

Q: If you could jump on a plane and go anywhere….

Dory: Italy.  I speak the language, so any chance I get to communicate in Italian I am happy.

Geraldine: The South of France. I absolutely love everything about it… the people, the food, the area.
