Why Hardwood Flooring?

Hardwood. Just the word evokes images of charm, richness, and classic looks. Wood floors last a lifetime and gain character with age. Hardwood floors stand the test of time for both style and durability.

Realtor.com notes:

“According to real estate experts, the average ROI for installing hardwood floors is about 70 percent to 80 percent, and wood floors can boost the sales price of your home at least 2.5 percent.”

And rest assured that wood floor maintenance is quick, easy, and keeps your wood floors looking beautiful and performing well for the lifetime of your home.

Knowing all this, we asked Jeremy Walsh, Director of Hardwood Flooring at Jack Walsh Trade Showroom, West Palm Beach, a few questions.

Is hardwood flooring environmentally friendly?
Jeremy replied, “Trees take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, so wood is considered a carbon-neutral product and remains that way even after being harvested. Through sustainable harvesting and their carbon neutral status, hardwood floors create a very low environmental impact.”

What’s On Trend Today?
Jeremy adds, “with the design industry trend towards biophilic products, hardwood is perfect. Hardwood flooring is 100 percent biodegradable.”

With the 2021 trend for interiors being ‘biophilic’ design, we agree that using natural materials creates both a mental and physical ‘stress free’ healthy environment. It appears that Jack Walsh is ahead of the trend.

The Jack Walsh Showroom, established in 1985, is located in West Palm Beach, and serves the interior design and architectural community. They offer a wide selection of carefully curated custom flooring, and exclusive lines from Austria and Italy.
