Barbara Lewis brings 35 years of experience shaped by her early exposure to craftsmanship as the daughter of a master furniture maker. Educated at The New York School of Interior Design, she is known for a classic yet current aesthetic showcased in elegant homes nationwide and six acclaimed showhouse spaces, including the 2022 Kips Bay Palm Beach. Her work has appeared in Veranda, Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and more.

Meredith Lewis Gallo, founder of Gallo Interior Design and now co-principal, offers a modern, fashion-forward perspective rooted in a lifetime immersed in design. Her training at The New York School of Interior Design, art-history studies in Europe, and experience with renowned designers have shaped her clean, polished, and subtly edgy style.

This BallenIsles interior design project was created for a client who imagined a home that felt like Nantucket meets Palm Beach—fresh, coastal, relaxed, yet still effortlessly refined. With grandchildren visiting often, the vision centered on crafting an inviting, family-friendly luxury interior that maintained a sense of elevated style. The palette focuses on soft blues, crisp whites, and natural linens, infusing the space with a breezy, Nantucket-inspired sensibility while honoring the bright, sun-kissed character of Palm Beach coastal living. The result is a harmonious blend of comfort, charm, and timeless coastal elegance.

An open floor plan allowed the spaces to flow effortlessly, so we layered textures and tonal variations of blue to give each area its own personality while maintaining harmony throughout the home. The result is a comfortable, elegant retreat that feels welcoming, unfussy, and perfectly suited for gatherings of all ages—a true blend of coastal charm and timeless Palm Beach ease.
