Frances Smock McDuffie

Frances Smock McDuffie
When Fran isn’t showing and selling properties, her passion projects are philanthropy and giving back to her community. In 2007, Fran and her husband started the McDuffie Family Foundation, conceived by her mother-in-law. With a mission to give back to inner city schools, mothers in distress and the Sheridan House, the McDuffie family operates two Toy Drives annually for underserved families in the greatest need, as well as awarding computers and reading rooms to inner city schools in Broward County. Fran lights up when she speaks of the back to school Back Pack giveaway for children in the public school system who are in need of school supplies, as well as providing school aged children a daily breakfast and filling their backpacks with a free lunch they can bring home to ensure they are eating nutritious food. A former native of St. Louis, Fran came to Florida 20 years ago, met her husband, and the rest was history. But 10 years ago, she decided to lay her roots full-time in Florida. Although this Missouri beauty could light up any room she enters, she hates the spotlight and much prefers home and time with family and friends versus a busy social schedule. Fran focuses on balance in her family and professional life. When her boys say ‘mom it’s time to turn off the devices and pay attention’, she is laser focused on her family and all else can wait.

In 2019 at the 12th Annual Gemini’s Give Back Event with a mission to measurably improve the health of poor and vulnerable women and children of the Caribbean and inner cities of the United States, Fran McDuffie was awarded by the Carma Foundation for her philanthropic work through the McDuffie Family Foundation within these underserved communities. A star-studded event, the evening was hosted by supermodel Tyson Beckford in support of Grammy nominated artist and songwriter Melky Jean’s Carma Foundation Gala in South Florida. When Fran isn’t showing and selling properties, her passion projects are philanthropy and giving back to her community.
