Gil Walsh Shares Expert Advice on Styling Your Condo

With so many people flocking to South Florida, condos are popping up everywhere.
Often being smaller than a single-family home, decorating condos can be tricky. With less space to work with, we came up with some simple condo interior decorating tips and design ideas.

The condo Gil Walsh Interiors recently designed was inspired by the classic Palm Beach style. It has tall ceilings in the entry so we created a decorative inset, which makes the space feel larger. Tip: utilize the fifth wall, a high ceiling can make a room feel much larger.

Paint can be another element that broadens the space of a condo. Soft and vibrant colors can give a warm feeling. We used soft greens and corals throughout this condo, creating a sophisticated tropical ambiance. The continuity in color will enlarge the look of any home.

Natural light will make any space feel brighter and airy. Starting your morning in a sun lit room can lift your spirits. And wall mirrors are great for making any space feel larger especially if they are reflecting the natural light.

Also, include art and accessories which will spice up your condo. Creativity is your friend when you are choosing (framed) wall art and accessorizing. Don’t forget hanging shelves which allows you to display books and accessories while also preserving floor space.
