Mike’s love of the beach experience started when he was just a boy in Sag Harbor, NY and increased when he moved to Pensacola at 18. Mike started Oceanside because he saw the opportunity to create a “resort style” experience for those using public beaches. Believing if a customer is treated like a guest all times, they would keep coming back, Mike built up a loyal following that not only came back but followed the burgeoning business from beach to beach as Oceanside grew.

A canny mix of hard-working New Yorker and Florida cabana boy, Mike and Oceanside quickly began securing contracts in Palm Beach, Martin, and Broward County. Today the company operates concession services at seven beaches, including locations in prime areas that had never had beach services before: Boca Raton and Lake Worth Beach.

A hands-on, feet in the sand, owner operator, Mike stays in constant touch with his employees, as well as visiting with the guests on the beach to make sure that his high standards of beach service is maintained. He sees his company not as a chair provider, but as a service provider, giving patrons the ultimate beach experience. As he says, “Oceanside gives you a sense of a private beach club membership at a fraction of the price.”
