Equestrian and Contemporary Decor Rides High in South Florida’s Inaugural Holiday House
Written by Julia Sagoskin
The nation’s leading interior designers gathered in Wellington, Florida, for the inaugural Holiday House Wellington 2026, a philanthropic designer showhouse that brings together luxury interior design, custom home décor, and charitable giving. Following the success of Holiday House events in Manhattan and the Hamptons for nearly two decades, the Wellington showcase marks a significant expansion of the renowned organization, which raises funds for breast cancer research while highlighting exceptional residential design.
For its Wellington debut, more than 20 acclaimed interior designers transformed the estate with sophisticated, Florida-inspired interiors that blend contemporary elegance with relaxed luxury living. Throughout the home, designers embraced vibrant color palettes, natural materials, and custom finishes while maximizing Wellington’s sought-after indoor-outdoor lifestyle. From chic entertaining spaces to serene retreats, each room reflects the designer’s unique vision while celebrating the equestrian heritage and refined character that define Wellington, Florida.

The months-long showcase has already proven to be a stylish success, as each acclaimed designer brought their signature touches across two neighboring residences within the area’s most exclusive new development, Farrell Estates Wellington. Located in the Palm Beach Polo Golf & Country Club, the modern residences were the perfect canvas for the designers.

Founded by breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner 18 years ago, Holiday House was created to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through the power of design and has since raised almost $3 million for the organization. After being diagnosed at age 40, Dankner was determined to combine her passion for design with fundraising. “Every day after beating cancer is a holiday, hence the name,” she said, adding that “the design community has been so generous in helping me grow this.”

A longtime supporter of the organization, Joe Farrell helped expand Dankner’s efforts to Florida. Looking back on the organization’s growth, Dankner noted that “twenty years ago, there were no other events in the design industry that benefited women’s issues, but when I started this, people just embraced it.”
She was especially impressed with the cohesive interiors. “I felt that this year, more than ever, the designers really worked together.” Holiday House Wellington’s Opening Night Gala took place on March 3, followed by public tours which gave visitors an inside look at the area’s first designer takeover of its kind in the area, culminating on May 3rd. The event was led by some of the most esteemed names in fashion and philanthropy, with Christian Siriano serving as Honorary Chair, and Andrea Stark, Jayne Chase, Iris Dankner, and Campion Platt as Co-Chairs.

Co-Chair Jayne Chase praised the collaborative spirit of the event, noting that “Iris and her team really pulled together the most interesting interior designers from around the world and everyone understood what the community of Wellington was all about.” Chase added that “it’s been really nice for us to all work together and give back to such a great cause.”
The decorative fun doesn’t end there, either. Throughout the season, Holiday House Wellington continued to serve as a hub for artistry, philanthropy, and community, with ongoing special events being held in support of breast cancer research.
