Q. How would you describe your artistic style?
Intuitive. Accessible, Abstract, Interactive.

Q. What are you currently exploring in the painting realm?
The Color Collection! This project ignited back in 2014 when I completed the first of nine being Green- titled Forever Green. After that I spent time traveling, volunteering, and exploring other cultures then in 2022 moved here to Florida to be near my dear Papa. I found a warehouse to continue the 6 foot paintings. The warehouse was supposed to be a brewery, but more artists just kept showing up- so it basically was an artist takeover! Ha!

It’s also where the color collection continued. Red, #2 was completed 2024. – For Desiree.

#3 Blue, #4 Purple, #5 Orange and with #6 – Pink- being in the works at my new studio space in Northwood. They all are there 6 foot by 6 foot. I am actually starting to think they’re getting too small.

#7- I am unsure of the color at the moment. This is where intuition comes to play. The colors come to me. I truly connect with the times and whatever is happening in the world around me. #8 will be black # 9 will be white.

I cannot wait to finally finish this vision I’ve had circling in my head for over 10 years.

Q. What inspires your paintings?
Life, Love, Color, and Community. It’s a need to express, not just something I want to paint. It’s just a funny way I’ve found a voice. Creating spaces of wonder, provoking thought about what is and what isn’t.

Q. What emotions or reactions do you hope your work evokes in viewers?
Well, really whatever reaction they have on their own. I am all ears for any comments that come from the viewer. There is no negative critique in my opinion. Just one’s truth, then, hopefully they’d be open for a conversation to view others’ perspectives.

For example as to why it doesn’t matter to me so much – A collector from New York came barging in the old studio and honestly, I didn’t have much care to show my work. He asked, “Well, aren’t you two going to tell me about your work? I looked at my friend as they started to show their work. The collector then looked at me and said “And what about yourself?” I proceeded to take him to the front warehouse where I displayed 4 out of the 9 pieces of the Color Collection. It was very loud as the music started so we walked back outside to converse.

The New York Collector says, “Well, your paintings are great, but they’re never going to sell, they’re too big!” It wasn’t my first time hearing that so I just went along with his conversation. I recognized it was no longer a business ordeal, and I said thank you for the conversation and walked back inside to my painting cubby hole. Surrounding myself by the sound of my paintings, a woman then approached me.. The perfect buyer for the first of the Color Collection of 9. For Evergreen.

The reason I share this with you is to speak upon the fact that one’s personal view isn’t another’s.

Your Opinion Matters.

Q. You mentioned your work is Interactive. How so?
The Expedition- A Collective Installation. 400 people have been a part of it so far. You can too! The goal is to collect 10,000 collages, where, really, the first goal is 1,000. A friend said I should think smaller. Haha.

I’d like to submit the first 1,000 to the new National Geographic museum in Washington DC for its re-opening in 2027.

The paper used to collage for the installation is out of the entire 1982-2016 National Geographic magazine collection I found on the side of the road about 10 years ago. I told the gentleman, John, who had put them on the curb, that I was going to do a project with them one day. Back then, I was in my twenties traveling around here to there and those books came with me on my adventures, spending hours and hours putting them back in numerical order.

Four years ago, they finally landed a place in Jupiter, Florida. Two years ago, I recognized that the project is not just made for me to create, it is made for everyone to create. Experiencing history together, recognizing that it doesn’t look so different these days. So those square collages you see in the photograph on the page are the 400 collages that have been harvested from those who have participated in expressing themselves freely. South Florida, Alexandria, Virginia, Asheville, North Carolina, are some of the places the Expedition has traveled thus far.

Q. Is there any place we can see the work you’ve shared with us?
Yes! By the grace of god, my new studio space is Ingress Gallery in Northwood. Just north of West Palm Beach, Florida, three doors west of Malakor Thai Restaurant. I love this little downtown neighborhood. Many culturally rich, eclectic places to explore.

Also, if you are anywhere near the Hamptons July 9-12, 2026, I will be representing #6 of the Color Collection of 9, Pink, at the South Hampton Fair.

Q. What has been the most rewarding part of your journey as an artist?
Seeing my dreams and hard work come into fruition.

Q. Do you have any advice for another artist or anyone in general?
Take it or leave it, just trust your process.

Q. How do you want collectors to experience your artwork in their own spaces?
As a piece of themselves.
As if the work was made just for them. Which, I do, do by the way.
And I sure love it! What a challenge commissioned work is.
