West Palm Beach’s Newest Shopping District

The Flamingo Park Historic District boomed during downtown West Palm Beach’s initial land development era of the 1920’s. The area is flourishing again, with its period architecture and close proximity to downtown West Palm Beach. The latest project is slated to become a vibrant, modern retail “Via” patrons have been longing for years. The 400 and 500 blocks of Park Ave are undergoing a transformation that will turn it into a unique, walkable outdoor plaza and lifestyle destination. Leasing agent Arron Thomas with Touchstone Webb shares, “As the surrounding blocks of Georgia Avenue and South Dixie undertake new ownership and renovations, we continue to find a need for small retail locations that have been bought out for larger redevelopment.”

Expanding on the highly desirable and affluent S. Dixie Highway and the Art & Design District in in West Palm Beach, the new development is in close proximity to the Norton, HIVE Collection, and Palm Beach Atlantic University. Situated on over 2.6 acres, the updates create a private retail oasis that integrates nicely into the historic roots of the community, while elevating the environment with luxury retail, design and gastronomic experiences and a future lifestyle hub, The Forum.

Notable tenants include: Konro, the intimate restaurant created by widely acclaimed two Michelin star Chef Bickelhaupt, Vesta, an interior design and custom furnishings store, and Rueshaw, the latest creation from Fern St. Wine Bar & Kitchen. Other notable retailers that have recently set up shop in the area: Bakes & Kropp, Casa Ceramica, and further down S. Dixie Ballard Design and Joseph’s Classic Market have recently opened.

More than 50% of the space is geared towards home design or style. Thomas comments, “The growth we’ve seen in businesses and households moving to the area and landing within just a few blocks away will thrive with this new park, its
uses and additions. [We are] creating a more walkable, outdoor unique plaza and lifestyle where families can shop, friends can get together, and where people will automatically migrate to for the experience.”
