Born and raised in Northern Indiana, Josh relocated to the Lake Norman area in 2002 to pursue a career in NASCAR. Not taking no for an answer, he landed his dream job and continued in the sport for 10 more seasons working alongside some of the industry’s most respected drivers such as Carl Edwards, Jamie McMurray, David Ragan, Jimmie Johnson, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
The transition from NASCAR to real estate came in 2013. The competitive environment of NASCAR, where an extreme work ethic, drive, and determination, a strong emphasis on building the best team, and simply outworking the competition, certainly prepared him for a successful entry into the industry. He continues to build on those traits and values personal relationships along with quality over quantity.
In his free time, he can be found volunteering with Lake Norman Humane, a 501 (c)3 Non-Profit Organization, where he currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors. With 3 rescue pets of his own, he is passionate about pursuing their vision, where pets are safe and healthy in loving homes.
Joseph Adams – Joey is a dedicated real estate professional who grew up in Mount Olive, New Jersey, before relocating to Sherrills Ford, North Carolina at 18. His family built a lakefront home in Northview Harbour, igniting his passion for Lake Norman. While pursuing his degree at UNC Charlotte, Joey earned his broker’s license in his senior year. After graduation, he gained valuable experience as a commercial real estate analyst at SMI USA, an international investment and construction firm, before joining Corcoran HM Properties in 2021.
In his role at Corcoran, Joey partners with Josh Tucker, specializing in Lake Norman and its surrounding areas. Their collaboration has led to impressive average yearly sales exceeding $30 million. Joey’s love for Lake Norman has inspired many friends and family from New Jersey to relocate, showcasing the irresistible lake lifestyle.
With a strong work ethic and a commitment to expanding his knowledge, Joey has built confidence in the local market. He resides in Mooresville, where he enjoys summers filled with jet skiing, boating, and quality time with his French Bulldog, Slate.
